Is this really free?
Yes. The benefits check and your gap report are completely free, and there’s no account to create. If a result suggests a disability claim, we’ll offer to connect you with a VA-accredited attorney for a free consultation — but that’s optional and never required to see your results.
Do I need to log in or create an account?
No. You can complete the whole questionnaire and view your full report without signing up. You can optionally leave an email afterward if you’d like to be notified when eligibility rules change.
Is my information private?
Yes. We don’t collect your Social Security number, service record number, or any medical records. Your answers are used to generate your report and are never sold.
Is VetGap an official VA tool or legal advice?
No. VetGap is an independent tool that summarizes public VA rules and federal regulations. It is not affiliated with the VA, and it is not legal advice. Eligibility is ultimately determined by the VA — use your report as a starting point and confirm your specific situation with a VA-accredited agent, attorney, or VSO.
